We met the summer of 2017 at the Isle of Capri Casino. When we tell people  that, their first thought is that we met at a Poker table, but Stone was casino security and I (Adrianna) was a cocktail waitress! Stone had worked there for a few months, but I was just recently hired. One night, Stone and other friends had invited me to Pancheros after work, and I said yes!

After a summer of working together, I went back to Ames for my junior year at  Iowa State. It wasn't too long after school started that Stone was visiting nearly every weekend causing trouble with myself and my roommates. Us girls always  seemed to convince him to call into work at the Isle and stay extra days with us in Ames. We became pretty inseparable, and on New Year's night, Stone  officially asked me to be his girlfriend.

In the spring of 2018, Stone graduated from Hawkeye Community College and  was hired as a police officer in Fayette, IA to start his career. This never  seemed to interfere too much with his visits to Ames, and during the 2018 - 2019 school year, we continued to spend a lot of time together. Some of our favorite memories together were dressing up for Halloween, watching movies  with my roommates, the annual St. Patrick's Day party, and spending every  weekend at Paddy's or AJ's.
In 2019, I graduated from Iowa State University and was hired as a 1st grade  teacher at Edgewood-Colesburg. Stone and I decided to move in together and  rent a house in Lamont, Iowa (population about 300). That summer, we packed  our bags and drove 28 hours (one way!) to Oregon, somewhere we both wanted  to go. We made the drive in 3 days, with a pit stop in Utah, and that trip created  some of our most FAVORITE memories.

Stone went from visiting my roommates to visiting my class of 1st graders, and  they were obsessed with him. A year later, Stone decided he wanted to go to a  bigger department, and he accepted a job in Manchester, IA. After some house  hunting, we bought a house in Manchester in the summer of 2020. A week  later, we road tripped to the Lake of the Ozarks with our families for my  birthday. On June 16th, the night before my 23rd birthday, we went out to  dinner and Stone popped the big question while taking photos! The Ozarks is a  special place for our family, and it couldn't have been more perfect!

Things seemed to happen quick for us, but we have really been blessed with the  biggest support system. We have two amazing families, and our life together is  truly so much fun. We can't wait to celebrate our love on October 2, 2021!
